Reimagining
global teams.
We help growth-stage companies build exceptional offshore teams in Southeast Asia — handling the complexity of compliance, hiring, and operations so you can focus on scale.
Built from a real problem.
Talent Outsource was founded in 2025 by a team who had seen the same problem play out across too many businesses: companies with real growth ambitions, quietly stalled by the cost and complexity of building the teams they needed.
The solution was not radical. Southeast Asia has world-class talent. But the path to accessing it was cluttered with compliance risk, HR complexity, and a shortage of operators who actually understood both sides of the equation.
We built Talent Outsource to be the trusted bridge. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur with deep regional networks, we handle the hard work — hiring, compliance, HR operations, and team management — so our clients can focus on what they are actually building.
Today we partner with growth-stage companies in New Zealand and beyond, from real estate fund managers to insurance brokers — businesses that found a smarter way to build their teams.
“The goal was never just cheap labour. It was to give growth-stage companies access to excellent people — at a cost structure that lets them actually grow.
What we stand for.
Reimagining global teams means more than placing candidates. It means building partnerships that hold up under the pressures of real business.

The people behind the work.
A small, experienced team with complementary strengths across compliance, operations, and regional markets. Based in Kuala Lumpur.

Petrus Yen
Co-Founder & Director
Petrus brings a sharp analytical lens to one of the most common pain points facing growth-stage companies: the hidden cost of local hiring. Having operated in New Zealand's business environment, he witnessed firsthand how labor cost structures were quietly strangling companies that should have been scaling.
That insight led him to Southeast Asia — not as a cost-cutting shortcut, but as a genuine talent strategy. Petrus specialises in demystifying the compliance landscape for companies considering offshore teams, translating complex cross-border HR regulation into practical, actionable frameworks. He's the reason clients feel confident, not anxious, about expanding their teams internationally.

Charmaine Wang
Co-Founder & Director
Charmaine's competitive edge is her dual fluency — she understands both the cultural nuances of Southeast Asian business and the operational expectations of Western clients. Growing up in Johor gave her an intimate knowledge of the region's talent dynamics, work culture, and cross-border business rhythms that most outsourcing operators simply never develop.
She leads business development and operational strategy at Talent Outsource, ensuring that the company doesn't just make promises — it builds systems that deliver them. Her marketing background means she's equally comfortable shaping how the company communicates its value as she is designing the processes that back it up.

Harmeet Singh
General Manager
Harmeet's career is defined by scale. As a former Zalora operations leader, he learned what it takes to build, manage, and optimise teams operating under genuine performance pressure — the kind of environment where process discipline isn't optional.
He brings that same rigour to Talent Outsource, overseeing day-to-day operations and client delivery. Whether it's onboarding a new team member, streamlining a client workflow, or resolving an operational bottleneck, Harmeet's approach is systematic and results-driven. His e-commerce and regional operations background is particularly valuable for clients managing distributed teams across Southeast Asia.
Why Southeast Asia?
“Southeast Asia” is not one market — it's five distinct economies with different strengths, cost profiles, and talent characteristics. Knowing the difference is how you build teams that actually perform.
